Hello Hello! How are you all?
Happy Wednesday and welcome back to my WWW Wednesday weekly posts! I’m on half-term break this week and I’m busy-busy-busy with university work, but still managing to get some reading time in! How has your week been so far?
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking On A World of Words.
WWW Wednesday is based on 3 questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
.
.
Legends Rise (#3 Venators) by Devri Walls
I’m still reading this one and I am still enjoying it, I’m about 60% through and hoping to get it done in the next few days. I really do love this series, and I think the reason it’s taking me so long is that I don’t want it to end!
.
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Morena-Garcia
I still have not read any more of this book, but Noly and I have come up with a bit of a reading schedule for the weeks to come, so we should soon get this done.
.
The Raven Boys (#1 The Raven Cycle) by Maggie Stiefvater
Noly and I had a binge-reading session the other night and we made great progress. We are now over halfway through and we are both really enjoying it, it definitely has a spooky vibe so it was the best choice for #AtmsophericOctober for the Hype-A-Thon Readathon! We should get this one finished soon too!
.
Under the Lesser Moon (#1 The Marked Son) by Shelly Campbell
I just started this one a few nights ago! I’m on the Mythos & Ink blog tour for this one and I kind of already like it? I read the blurb ages ago when I signed up and I couldn’t remember it at all, so I’ve gone in blind, but I like what I’m reading so far!
.
Ghostly Echoes (#3 Jackaby) by William Ritter
Candyce and I started this one at the end of last week and it’s so good already! We’re not that far in, but I think it’s already my favourite in the series so far! I still can’t believe I don’t hear more about these books because they are awesome!
.
Dragon Pearl by Yoon Ha Lee
We are still reading this book as the October BOTM for the Middle Grade Marvels book club! We only have the last section to go and last week’s section still didn’t do much for me, but the latest one got better. I feel like there are a lot of loose ends to tie up, so the conclusion will have to be good as I’m still not enjoying it that much!
.
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini
I haven’t gotten too far into this one still, but I just keep thinking about it. I’m not one for intensive alien, space, funky machines science-fiction, but I think this book might be changing my mind. I won’t get it finished by next time I check in because it’s such a massive book, but I’ll just keep plodding along with it!

Second Cousin Once Removed by Kenneth L. Toppell
I read Second Cousin Once Removed for a #blogtour organised by Dave from @The_WriteReads, I had high hopes for it, but it just wasn’t my thing, unfortunately, so I wrote a spotlight instead!
.
The Doll Factory by Elizabeth MacNeal
I finished The Doll Factory over the weekend, I had been reading it with some blog buddies and we have FEELINGS! Omg, that ending, grrr! As you can still, my thoughts are still yet to be ordered, but I will get a review of this book up in a few weeks! And I have no idea what rating to give it, but I did enjoy it, I think.

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus
I am on the blog tour organised by Dave from @The_WriteReads for this book and I am insanely excited! As soon as I finish a few books from my “currently reading” pile, I am jumping into this one and I’m hoping no one will bother me until I get to the end of it! It will be my first Karen M. McManus book and I have high expectations!
.
I’m still currently reading a tonne of books, but hopefully, by the time I check in next week, I will have finished some!
That’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon, stay safe,
Ellie xx
I can’t wait to read The Cousins. It looks so good. I’m reading Second Cousins now. It is much different than other TWR’s blog tour books isn’t it?
I’m so excited to start it as soon as I’ve finished my current two Kindle books!!! It is very different and I wasn’t a fan unfortunately!
Can’t wait to read your thoughts on a few of these books! Love this style of post.
♥ Mae
Aww thank you so much Mae!! 🙂
I think I’m going to get Kevin the book To Sleep in a Sea of Stars for Christmas. 😁
Ohhh yes, what a great choice, I’m loving it! 🙂
