Hello Hello!

How are you all?

Today’s post is going to be the unboxing of the January Moon and Stars Fairyloot box! I started a subscription with them back in February of last year and it is worth every single penny! All of the books are awesome, I haven’t read them all yet, but they are on my list because they sound so cool!

In January, the theme was Moon and Stars and I think that this was one of my all-time favourite boxes! The book of the month was Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibanez. The Fairyloot special edition is absolutely gorgeous, they do a great job on every book and I adoreeeeee all of their books with sprayed edges! I started this book a few days ago and I have to say, I haven’t gotten very far yet, but wow, it’s got potential, I can’t wait to read more! Here is a little bit about Woven in Moonlight!

Goodreads Synopsis

A lush tapestry of magic, romance, and revolución, drawing inspiration from Bolivian politics and history.

Ximena is the decoy Condesa, a stand-in for the last remaining Illustrian royal. Her people lost everything when the usurper, Atoc, used an ancient relic to summon ghosts and drive the Illustrians from La Ciudad. Now Ximena’s motivated by her insatiable thirst for revenge, and her rare ability to spin thread from moonlight.

When Atoc demands the real Condesa’s hand in marriage, it’s Ximena’s duty to go in her stead. She relishes the chance, as Illustrian spies have reported that Atoc’s no longer carrying his deadly relic. If Ximena can find it, she can return the true aristócrata to their rightful place.

She hunts for the relic, using her weaving ability to hide messages in tapestries for the resistance. But when a masked vigilante, a warm-hearted princess, and a thoughtful healer challenge Ximena, her mission becomes more complicated. There could be a way to overthrow the usurper without starting another war, but only if Ximena turns her back on revenge—and her Condesa.

Doesn’t that sound awesome? The last couple of months I haven’t read the Fairyloot books because I’ve been so busy, but hopefully, I can finish this one for February and try to get back on track for the next books, I’m really looking forward to the February book because I think it is one of my most anticipated releases of 2020!

My photos look nothing like what I usually take, but I don’t have much to work with here in Scotland, so you’ll have to bear with me! I promise, the flat lays will be back when I’m home in France! Here are the items in the Moon and Stars box:

Moon Trinket Tray

This was the first thing I picked out of the box and I have to say, it’s the cutest little trinket tray ever! I’ve never really used a trinket tray before, but I might set this one out on my bookcase with a little candle or some potpourri back home!

Starry Fairy Lights

I was so happy when I saw these little fairy lights, I have loads of fairy lights at home and I’m planning to have lights running through my bookcase when it finally gets built, but I didn’t have anything to hang near my book nook, so this will be perfect! Fairyloot do such a good job with the little items they design and I adore every single one!

Dreamy Moon Pillow Case

One of my favourite things to get in my Fairyloot boxes is pillowcases! I’m thinking of having a daybed type set-up as my reading nook in my library back home and I want to cover the bed with loads of beautiful pillowcases from Fairyloot! They do such a good job with these and I couldn’t even start to tell you which is my favourite out of all the ones I’ve ever gotten! I love the Oscar Wilde quote, it’s actually one of my favourites and the art was designed by @beckythornsdesigns, go check her out!

Moon Phases Necklace

This is maybe one of my favourite items from this box! I hardly wear any jewellery and wouldn’t want to break this necklace, but I think I’ll have it hanging on one of my pin banners, I think it could look so cute! This necklace was designed by @noverantale, go check out their IG, I love everything they do!

Illuminae Star Notebook

I was so, so happy when I grabbed this out of the box and it just made me want to go finish Illuminae! I started it last year and after about 100 pages, I knew it would be a solid favourite so I put it down because I wanted to wait to get the next books in the series, I still haven’t done that yet, but hopefully this year I’ll get to this series! Right now I’m reading Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman and I’m loving it, so I can’t wait to pick up Illuminae again! Once again, Fairyloot know how to make their notebooks and the quote is so pretty!

Dragon Keychain

Isn’t this just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? I love it so much! I think this is also going to go on a pin banner when I get home because it’s too gorgeous to be hanging on my keys! This also reminds me that I want to read Even the Darkest Stars and every other book featured in fandom items that I’ve received from Fairyloot, oops! This keychain was designed by @dustandpages, go check out their IG. PS, the stars glow in the dark!

Moon and Stars Paper Clips

Oh, my little stationery loving heart did a flip when I saw these! They are so cute and I am a sucker for anything stationery, so you might see these in some Bullet Journaling blogs soon!

Queen and King of Cups Tarot Cards

The tarot cards in this month’s box are inspired by the Ember in the Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir, oh look, another series I have to read 😊 I love getting the tarot cards in my Fairyloot boxes because I think they would look awesome on a corkboard in my library, and they also make me add loads of books to my TBR! They were designed by @gabriella.bujdoso, go check her out!

Finally, I just wanted to add some photos of the art on the reverse of the dust jacket of this month’s book, it is so beautiful and I love how one side is night and the other is the day! Don’t you just love that little sloth and the little llama? Also, here is the character art print, designed by @katbdraws, I love all the character art featured in the Fairyloot boxes, but this one might just be my favourite, it’s absolutely gorgeous! And look at those cute stickers included with the book!

I can’t wait to finish this book and tell you all about it! That’s it for now, I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon!

    1. I’ve tried to keep away from reviews because it put me off some of the previous books, I’ve gotten to about the 70th page and I’m liking it! Thank you!
