Book Haul | January 2023

Hello Hello! How are you today?  I can’t believe how quickly February is going, and I thought it was time for another Book Haul post.  January is my birthday month, and my lovely family got me some great books, and I treated myself to a few as well.  In January, I added a total of 19 books to my physical TBR (There are 21 books on the list because I bought a physical copy of 2 books I’ve already read!)… naughty!! So keep on reading to see what new books I hauled and was gifted last month.  BOOKS I BOUGHT …

Hello Hello! How are you today?  I’m back for my bimonthly foray into my massive TBR list on GoodReads. As you know, this list is out of control, and I can’t seem to stop myself from adding to it. So for the past 2 years, I’ve been slowly making my way through it to try to whittle it down to a manageable number!  You know the drill: if you’ve never read any of my Down the TBR Hole posts before but you want to find out why I started and what rules to follow to do your own TBR list …

This includes books from the library I worked at last year, and the two libraries I now currently work at.  I was browsing my GoodReads the other day, and saw that I’ve put lots of books in various “Library TBR” shelves… So keep on reading to find out what 10 books I want to read …

You can find her post here!  I’m not sure who created this tag to start with as I’ve found it on lots and lots of blogs. iIf you know where it originated, please let me know in the comments so I can credit them accordingly.  Now without further ado, let’s get into this super fun book tag and …

First Lines Fridays

First Lines Fridays | 3rd of February 2023

Hello Hello! How are you today? It’s the first Friday of February, and since last week I wrote a Down the TBR Hole post, this week it is back to me featuring books based off their first lines. You’re in for a treat with this one, a book I just started, and already am hooked on! “They found Finley this eve, just outside the Blood Forest, dead.” I looked up from my cards and across the crimson-painted surface to the three men sitting at the table. I’d chosen this spot for a reason. I’d… felt nothing from them as I …

Okay, a lot of those were graphic novels or comics, but they still count!! I also read some really fantastic books, and only one flopped completely, so I’ll take that as a win.  Keep on reading to find out what books I read in January.  FAVOURITE BOOKS OF THE MONTH Daisy …

Book Review | Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

Title: Love and Other Words Author: Christina Lauren Published: 10th of April 2018 — Gallery Books Format: Paperback — 420 pages Hello Hello! How are you today?  If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I don’t usually gravitate towards contemporary romance stories, as they don’t always interest me. However, in times of sadness, demotivation and during the dreaded reading slumps I do like the pick the odd one up.  So I’ve been reading more of these kinds of books lately, and I was chuffed when some book blogging buddies decided to start yet …
