I am an avid reader and I love fantasy, historical fiction, mysteries, children’s and middle grade stories, but I will read just about anything if it sounds like my cup of tea.

  • Hello lovelies! How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's prompt for the #RFABMay21 photo challenge is "Unfinished series" and I picked the Shadow and Bone series by Leigh Bardugo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I read the first book last year, or the year before that, and I wasn't in love with it as much as I was expecting with all the hype surrounding this book, but I did want to continue the series which is why I had the boxset to binge them all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I just haven't gotten around to finishing the series yet, but I definitely want to watch the Shadow and Bone show on Netflix and I intend to read all the Grishaverse books before (I like reading before watching). We will have to see if the rest of the Grishaverse books live up to the hype! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: What hyped series/book you are afraid to read?❤️📚

How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It has been a few days since I have posted but today's prompt for the #RFABMay21 photo challenge is "Finished Series" and I interpreted it as a series I've finished, so I picked the Firebird series by Claudia Gray. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I read this series about 4 years ago when I was really struggling through some complicated family events and this one just stuck with me. It was my comfort when I needed to get lost in a book and I love this series so much for that. I have raved about Firebird ever since I finished the series (I think I read the 3 books in one week aha) and I just really need to pick them up again because they mean so much to me. They are also fantastic and definitely deserve more hype! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: What is a series you've finished and loved? ❤️📚
  • Hello lovelies! How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's prompt for the #RFABMay21 photo challenge is "Book & Sleeve" and I was actually really surprised, and happy that I had a book sleeve that is inspired by Dracula by Bram Stoker. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I got this gorgeous book sleeve in a @fairyloot book subscription box last year I believe and it's one of the prettiest ones I have. It was also in the Vampire box, which has been my favourite so far because I love vampires. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I tried to read Dracula with @theartsyreader last year but I didn't get very far, even though I was enjoying it. I really need to try this again soon, and hopefully, it will be picked as one of the Classic Lit picks for the TWR Gang book club I'm in. I need to really give this a chance because I think I'll like it and I have a special book sleeve to keep it in while I read it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: What is your favourite paranormal creature?❤️📚
  • Hello lovelies! How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happy Hump Day! I can't believe it is already Wednesday, this week is rushing by. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's prompt for the #RFABMay21 photo challenge is "Want to Read" and I have so many books on my TBR but one that really stood out is Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I got myself this stunning copy when it was announced as part of the longlist for the Women's Prize and it was one of only 4 that I wanted to read. I was really happily surprised when it was also chosen for the shortlist and I really hope I can get to it soon. It's the only fantasy on the list which is kind of sad, but I think it will be just my thing and I know I will love it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: How many books do you have on your TBR?❤️📚
  • Hello lovelies! How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's prompt for the #RFABMay21 photo challenge is "Old Favourite" and I just had to pick Favourite Winnie-The-Pooh Stories by A. A. Milne which is one of the many editions of Winnie-the-Pooh that I currently own. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I grew up reading and watching Winnie-the-Pooh and both the books and the screen adaptations mean so much to me. I am a little bit obsessed by Eeyore and have way too many Eeyore-inspired things and cuddly toys. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These stories still mean so much to me and I will have to make time to discover them again. They make me very nostalgic, and I might have a little happy cry, but I'm sure it will be a lovely reading experience again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: What books did you grow up reading? ❤️📚

How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today is the day I am FINALLY going to be able to start working on my master's thesis and I am so ready after months of other university assignments that stopped me picking up my reading list! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's prompt for the #RFABMay21 photo challenge is "New Book" and I had a lot to pick from, but I ended up going for The Bright & the Pale by Jessica Rubinkowksi which I got in my @fairyloot subscription box last month I believe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've had this book on my 2021 anticipated reads list since I found it on Goodreads and I am so glad that I finally have a copy. This sounds like a really dark book which is definitely my kind of thing and I'm just really looking forward to getting to it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: What is your most recent bookish purchase? ❤️📚
  • Hello lovelies! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here is the Part 2 to the Part 1 post of my May TBR. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am going to be reading about 11 books in May (2 are on my Kindle) and there are going to be lots and lots of buddy reads, book club picks and readalongs that I am so excited for. This is going to be a month full of series, new authors, fave authors, true crime, and a tonne of different genres and I can't wait to pick up the first book tomorrow! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: How many books do you want to read in May?❤️📚

  • Hello lovelies! How are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's prompt for the #RFABApril21 photo challenge is "Bought in April" and honestly, April was a month where I bought a few too many books, oops... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Among those many books are my first two Stephen King books. I did it, I finally took the plunge and signed-up to a readalong, aka, the @thelosersclub_readalong, which starting in May will be reading every single Stephen King book in chronological order, and I am madly excited for it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I tried to get the prettiest editions as I'll be making my way through quite a lot of SK books hopefully, but these were the only ones available. If I can, I'll try to get the Halloween editions for some of his books because they are gorgeous. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am really looking forward to this readalong, I'll probably be a total wimp and be scared a lot, but I want to give this author and his books a try, and what better way than with other reading buddies? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ QOTD: Do you read horror?
