Hello Hello! How are you all?

I’m very happy to be back with a tag today because I’ve been looking forward to writing this post all week! I’ve had another very busy week, but these were my last classes of the semester, I just have about a million more assignments to complete and hand in!

I was tagged to do this post by the lovely Danni from For Books Sake, thank you so much Danni and I’m so sorry it took me 3 months to get to it! Danni had some great answers, so go check out her post here, and she found this post on the Reading at Teatime blog!

Time for the tag!

1 – How do you keep track for your TBR pile?

I’m one of those very organised people that are nearly *too* organised, so I have most of my TBR on my Goodreads “Want to Read” shelf that I am currently trying to make smaller. But all my unread books are also in different spreadsheets depending on their genre so I can tick them off when I have read them!

2 – Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?

I would say I have about the same amount of ebooks and print books, but maybe a few more print ones!

3 – How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

These past months, most of my books on my monthly TBRs have been for buddy-reads, readathons, book clubs or ARCs for blog tours or NetGalley, so they have kind of been determined for me. But starting in January 2021, I’m going to set up my own TBR game and I will have a bit more control over my TBR. I should have a post about this on my blog soon!

4 – A book that’s been on your TBR the longest.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass

Oh gosh, I think that would have to be… Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I’ve had the free copy on my Kindle ever since I got my first Kindle device when I was 10 or 11 and I have not gotten to it yet! I will have to do that soon though as I loved the movies and it is Noly’s favourite book! 😊

5 – A book that you recently added to your TBR.

Kingdom of the Wicked (Kingdom of the Wicked, #1)

Kingdom of the Wicked (#1) by Kerri Maniscalco. I received a copy of this book in my latest Fairyloot book box, or maybe the one before! I had seen this about a fair bit already and seen some very different opinions so I wasn’t sure, but I feel like I want to give it a go, and it’s the most recent book I have received and that has gone on my TBR (because all the others ones are current reads ahah)!

6 – A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.

Les Misérables

I’m not sure by maybe my Barnes & Noble special edition of Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. I have read this book a few times already and it is one of my all-time favourites, but I haven’t read this particular edition, and the cover is absolutely gorgeous, so I added it to my TBR because the cover drew me in!

7 – A book on your TBR that you NEVER plan on actually reading.

None, I don’t buy books with the intention of never reading them. I might have a few that will take me years to get to, but every single book I own will be read one day.

8 – An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.

The Library of the Dead (Edinburgh Nights, #1)

The Library of the Dead by T.L. Huchu. I got this through @MyBookishLife, so thank you so much! As soon as I read the blurb in the email, I was won over, this sounds exactly like the kind of book I love and I have never downloaded a book so quickly from NetGalley to my Kindle! This one is publishing on the 4th of February 2021 and I can’t wait to dive in!!

9 – A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read except you.

I’m going for a series instead of a single book, it has to be the Illuminae Files by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. I have had this on my list for such a long time, and I actually started Illuminae and fell in love, so stopped reading it because I wanted to acquire the other two books in the series first so I could binge it, and I still haven’t done that aha! I’m going to get to this in 2021 because I’m so intrigued and I know I will love it!!

10 – A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.

Pride and Prejudice

Oh… I’m going to say Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Not *everyone* recommends this, but multiple people have done so this year, I couldn’t even count on my fingers how many times I have read a post about this book being the blogger’s favourite or someone directly recommending it to me. I’ve got this on one on my TBR and I’ll have to try it soon.

11 – A book on your TBR that you’re just dying to read.

The Priory of the Orange Tree

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. This is one of the biggest books on my TBR and on my shelves and I see it every time I go past, it just calls to me. I have read a lot of great reviews of this book, so I am definitely intrigued and my expectations are fairly high. I haven’t picked it up yet for the sole reason that it is so big and I’m also afraid that I won’t like it as much as I expect to!

12 – The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.

Oh dear lord… well, if you read my Down the TBR Hole posts, you already know this, but in case you don’t, I have a total of 3,679 books on my Goodreads “Want to Read” shelf. *HIDES*

I’m tagging …

Noly, Holly, Stephen, Leelynn, Jenny, Erika, Giorgia-May, Lily, Kat, Kimberly and Candyce & Isabelle.

If I haven’t tagged you but you would like to do this tag, please feel free to do so and link back here so I can read your answers! As always, if I have tagged you but you don’t want to do this tag, no problem at all!

That’s all for now, this was a really fun tag and I’m so glad I found the time to do it! I hope you enjoyed reading it! See you soon, stay safe,

Ellie xx

    1. You’re welcome, and thank you so much Kimberly, it’s kind of boring to be honest but I’m excited to talk about it soon, and it might grow and get more fun later! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much! I’ve heard a lot of very different opinions, so I have to admit that I’m very intrigued by it aha!
