Hello Hello! How are you?

So far, my week has been just as busy as the previous week, but I have gotten some things done and handed in, only about a million more to go!! I think we can start the countdown to Christmas and to a little break for me from university work (I honestly can’t wait)!

I’m so proud of myself for reaching the 50k line for NaNoWriMo on Monday! I have my winner’s certificate hung on my wall aha! Now I just have to keep writing my WIP and actually finish it this year (or next year?).

Tell me about your week so far? Did you do anything fun this weekend?

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking On A World of Words.

WWW Wednesday is based on 3 questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

Candyce and I are getting through this book really fast, we’ve only got about 200 pages to go, or maybe a bit less and things are flying in all directions (not literally, maybe?). It’s getting very interesting, every new chapter something happens and it’s so funny discussing it because we have no idea who the murderer is or why or what or how or where. It’s good though!

A Court of Thorns and Roses (#1) by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)

Noly and I got a bit further into ACOTAR since my check-in last week. It’s very strange going back to this book because we know what we know but I won’t say what. There are loads of red flags though and I can’t wait for the end of this book because it’s the start of what happens next!! Really enjoying this reread though!

Shadows of Winterspell by Amy Wilson

Shadows of Winterspell

I just finished this book on Saturday and although the ending was not what I was expecting or what I would have liked, I did really enjoy this book. It is on the short side so I understand that more things can’t happen, I just felt the ending was a little open-ended and there were still a lot of questions for me. I loved the characters and Stella was so brave and amazing, so proud of her. This was a great choice. I’ll get my review up soon.

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

Rebecca

This was a bit of a flop for me. I finished it on Sunday and discussed it that evening with the amazing group of bloggers in The Write Reads gang‘s impromptu book club. I’m glad they all really enjoyed it, it just wasn’t my cup of tea and I am glad I read it with them because otherwise, it would have gotten DNF-ed within 10 pages. Yeah, not my thing, unfortunately. I’m not going to be reviewing it.

BBNYA Book 1

I obviously can’t say much about this. I finished it late last night but I really enjoyed it. It was a really different book to what I’m used to, but I’m really glad that it was chosen for me. I’ve got high hopes for the other 2 now. What I can say, is that it’s a series and I’m definitely going to be continuing it.

The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton

The Devil and the Dark Water

I’m reading this book with the same group of bloggers in The Write Reads gang. I am so glad this book was picked because I have wanted to read it ever since I read some reviews of it. I’m going to start it tonight (Tuesday) and I’m very excited.

BBNYA Book 2

I haven’t decided which of my two final BBNYA books I’ll read first, but I’m really excited for both. I read the first 10k of one of them in the second round and loved it and the other one just calls to me, so I’ll have to see what takes my fancy.

Clockwork Princess (#3 The Infernal Devices) by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3)

I’m just putting this book on here in the hopes that I’m going to start it this weekend, but you never know, I might start it earlier. The next Shadowhunter Saturday post is going up on the 19th of December. This is a big book, but I’ve been looking forward to it for a while and I just can’t wait to dive back into this world and continue discussing it with Fiona.

Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston

Amari and the Night Brothers

I’m also going to start one of the blog tour books I’m reading for The Write Reads in December. I’m going to start this as soon as I have finished BBNYA Book 1, so it could be tonight, but I think it might be a bit later because by the looks of this list I’m going to be trying to read 6 books at the same time aha! I’ve already heard a lot of good things about this book, it’s middle grade, it has magic, bring it on!

Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky (#1) by Kwame Mbalia

Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky (Tristan Strong #1)

I’m reading this book for the Middle Grade Marvels book club on Twitter and I’m definitely starting this one the earliest chance I get because it has been calling to me for ages. The blurb just sounds so amazing. It’s a bit of a bigger book but I have a feeling I’m going to whizz through each section we have divided for the chat, I can’t wait.

Winterling (#1) by Sarah Prineas

Winterling (Winterling, #1)

And finally, this week I’m going to be starting the second BOTM we are reading for the MGM chat. This one is a lot smaller than the other one, I think it’s half the size so it’s going to be a really fast read. It’s definitely a wintery book! I hope I can get to it soon! 😊

That’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed this post, see you soon, stay safe,

Ellie xx
